Be on the lookout for the new attractions and updates to debut this spring. For nearly 50 years, Ripley's Entertainment has amazed Myrtle Beach visitors with bizarre and unusual artifacts and exhibits from around the world at its Ocean Boulevard location. Now, the Florida-based company has revealed expansion plans for its Grand Strand museum that include adding Ripley's new Illusion Lab, Ripley's Crazy Golf, as well as updates to Ripley's Mirror Maze and Ripley's Haunted Adventure. The Ripley's Believe It or Not! attractions along the Grand Strand first opened a block away from the Atlantic Ocean in 1976. In addition to Ripley's expanding the Ocean Boulevard attractions, there are also plans for the company's Myrtle Beach-area aquarium located at Broadway at the Beach to undergo an expansion that will bring a new exhibit with sloths. The aquarium's planned Sloth Village will get guests up close and personal with two-toed sloths. Furthermore, a new ocean-themed exhibit in the aquarium's Discovery Center will feature hands-on animal encounters. Ripley's Myrtle Beach-area aquarium first opened in 1997.
