This year's In the Pink walk will be back in-person after two years of virtual walks. On October 1, 2022, the streets of Murrells Inlet will overflow with a sea of participants adorned in pink shirts, raising awareness and funds for breast cancer. The In the Pink walk serves as the main fundraiser for the Tidelands Health Foundation Breast Care Fund, which helps provide mammograms and other vital breast health services to those in need. Walk organizers say the event can attract as many as 1,200 people! The upcoming in-person In the Pink walk this October will start with musical entertainment and vendors at 8:30 am outside the Tidelands Health Cancer Care Network in Murrells Inlet. Then, after a few words from breast surgeons Dr. Craig Brackett and Dr. Angela Mislowsky, participants will walk to the Marshwalk. Participants can register as an individual or join or start a team. The cost to join as a solo participant is $35. Kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month in proper fashion at the upcoming In the Pink walk in Murrells Inlet. Visit https://www.tidelandshealth.org/breastcancerwalk/. to register. The online registration deadline is Noon ET on Friday, September 30.
